Aerial Adventures

Flying Pictures has operated and managed hot air balloons for almost 30 years. More recently we have teamed up with Andy Elson who is Europe's leading expert on pressurised capsules and life support systems. Together we have undertaken a number of high profile aerial adventures, involving the equipment design and manufacture as well as the full project management of the event. These have included the successful Cable & Wireless world endurance record for a sub orbital manned aircraft (1999), the QinetiQ1 attempt to fly to the Edge of Space (2003) and the world altitude record for a hot air balloon, set by Vijaypat Singhania in Mumbai (2005).

We have also developed, built and delivered a capsule to carry five astronauts into Space for a project yet to be announced.
